A luxury villa custom home in San Diego with deep roof overhangs, timber soffits and a pool terrace off the main living wing.

The house is organized as a set of long horizontal planes. Deep roof overhangs with timber soffits shade the glazing and give the elevations their weight, and the roof lines extend past the walls so the building reads wider than it is.
The living wing opens onto a pool terrace on the long side, with lounge seating set between the house and the water. Vertical timber screening breaks up the larger wall surfaces and shades the western exposure.

Elevations, the pool terrace and aerial views.
