A Palm Springs midcentury modern residence on Via Escuela, drawn in the vocabulary the neighborhood is known for.

Palm Springs has a language, and a house on Via Escuela either speaks it or sticks out. This one speaks it.
Low flat rooflines run the full width of the lot with deep eaves for shade. A carport sits at the street rather than a closed garage, screened with breeze block so the elevation reads open instead of blank. The front door carries the one saturated color on the building, which is the move the era is known for. Landscaping is cactus, agave and gravel, so the garden holds up through summer on almost no water.
Out back the pool deck runs under a wood soffit, with the living spaces opening straight onto it. The set includes color site plans showing how the house, pool and garden sit on the lot.
