A moderate size Rancho Mirage backyard given a resort feel, with a swim-up bar, BBQ station and a sunken atrium.
The project
The lot is a normal size backyard. The design gets a resort feel out of it by giving the space several separate things to do rather than one large empty deck.
A sunken atrium with water and fire features sits at the center as the visual focal point. A modern outdoor structure covers a swim-up bar and BBQ station, so you can swim to a drink or sit at the patio and watch a game without leaving the water. The pool runs the length of the yard and stitches the zones together.
